Our experience working with the Solid team was productive, educational and rewarding. We found them to be most professional, able to balance sound design techniques with our requests, and work through and manage the building process with us so that we were able to achieve the house WE wanted on a budget we could afford.

MAYES House - 2008
We have used the services of Solid Architecture for over a year and we think their name should be changed to Solid Architecture, Patience and Care. Due to many outside factors and daliance on our behalf we have asked Andrew’s opinion on minor and major concerns and requested alterations so many times it would have stretched the patience of a saint but he took it all in his stride.
There were times I'd email Andrew in the evening with a query and I'd have an answer before he went to bed. ...that's service you don't getfrom a 9 to 5 company! From our experience with Solid Architecture, another name change ould be "Beyond the Call of Care and Duty" which describes Andrew Solomon and his architectural services.

Solid Architecture were the only architects that we spoke to that thought outside the square. Initial meetings we had with other architects basically said that our problem could not be solved. On the other hand our initial meetings with Solid were positive and ultimately result oriented with a real solution. All our meetings were enjoyable and the key part of any renovation is having an open communication channel with all concerned. Solid Architecture provided such a channel and therefore made this part of the process relatively easy.

WHEELHOUSE House Extension- 2006
Having actually lived through someone cutting 20 x 30 foot hole through our roof with angle grinders at 7 am in the morning, we are most happy with the result. In fact we'd have never thought of taking to the problem that was our home the way Andrew did. Looking at our home now I can't even believe we even considered just getting a builder knock out a wall here and put the stairs over there. Indeed what Andrew did actually doubled the size of our home without a single extra foot of floor space being added. Simple, clever and cost effective. And most importantly he was easy to work with even if we weren't.
